An SUV with four occupants just missed crashing into the Wissahickon Creek Wednesday, as the car dangled over a guardrail Wednesday afternoon.
The accident happened at Lincoln Drive and Gypsy Lane, police say.
The car crashed onto, but not over, a guardrail over the Wissahickon Creek at about 3 p.m. Wednesday, police say.
The four people who were in the car got out and are uninjured, according to a police spokesperson.
Last week a 24-year-old man attempted suicide by driving his car into the Schuylkill River at Kelly Drive and Strawberry Mansion Drive. The man swam to shore and was helped out by bystanders.
On September 29 a woman drove her car into the Schuylkill River at Ferry Drive and Kelly Drive. Her body was found a few days later.
