Local investigators are looking into a series of carjackings, all with women victims, in Philadelphia and two suburban communities.
Police tell NBC10 there have been eight carjackings since the end of August, and in each case, police believe the same attackers are targeting the women.
Two incidents happened in Upper Darby, one in Lansdowne, and the rest in Southwest Philadelphia.
Authorities report all the victims were women. One was pistol whipped, and gunshots were fired in another case.
The carjackings stopped in late September when the attackers crashed a car on Island Avenue in Philadelphia and took off, according to police.
Investigators are looking for at least two suspects and say one is believed to be a 21-year old Liberian man.
