Riffle Used in Pizza Delivery Robbery

A pizza delivery man was robbed and threatened with a rifle early Wednesday morning in Encanto.

The Dominoes Pizza delivery driver was bringing pizza to a house on 211 Kristin Ct. at about 4:30 a.m. when two men approached him. One suspect had a rifle, according to a San Diego Police Department watch commander.

The suspects fled after the robbery, and were last seen heading eastbound on Benson St.

SDPD could not immediately determine the loss, and robbery detectives are still investigating.

Earlier in the evening, another fast food provider was robbed at gunpoint. Two men approached a Taco Fiesta in Grantville with handguns and demanded cash. The robbery occurred at about 1:30 a.m. Wednesday on 6201 Mission Gorge Rd., according to the watch commander.

Police do not believe the suspects are the same in the two robberies.
