A city worker has found human skeletal remains next to a park in east Houston.
Police say the worker found the bones in a wooded area along Herman Brown Park on Tuesday.
Investigators say the scattered remains are from one adult. Clothing was also found in the area but nothing that identifies the person.
Houston homicide detectives say the skull appears to have suffered trauma but they did not know if it happened before or after death.
The Houston Chronicle reports that remains will be taken to Harris County medical examiners.
