Jurupa Valley School Locked Down After Shooting

A school in Jurupa Valley was on lockdown Wednesday after a shooting in the school's parking lot, according to authorities.

The shooting -- a possible murder-suicide -- was reported at about 10:40 a.m. near a building at Patriot High School. A body was located in the school's parking lot next to a car.

A SWAT unit responded to the campus at 4355 Camino Real and students were restricted to their classrooms as deputies searched the area.

No students were involved in the shooting. School district officials did not say how many people were involved.
