A fire broke out at a historic Dallas restaurant overnight.
Flames were spotted at the original Sonny Bryan's BBQ location on Inwood early Wednesday morning by a Dallas Fire Rescue ambulance responding to another call.
Firefighters got the fire out fast, but the damage is expected to keep the restaurant closed until the weekend.
The 1-alarm fire started in a back dry storage area that isn't connected to the main building and did not damage the kitchen. Two doors on the main building were damaged to allow firefighters to get into the building.
No injuries have been reported. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
Sonny Bryans has been a fixture on Inwood since the 1950s.
