A water main break has in west Arlington has flooded three homes, city officials confirmed Wednesday.
An email to NBC 5 said some of the homes on the 4500 block of Hillside Drive may have also been contaminated by sewage, but Michelle Rice with the city refuted that claim and said all of the water was treated water.
Rice said a 27-inch water main at the Pierce Burch Treatment plant, which is adjacent to the neighborhood, broke at about 9:45 a.m. and flooded three homes.
The cause of the break is being investigated
