A police pursuit in the San Pedro area ended with a brief foot chase before a suspect was taken into custody.
The chase began around 9 a.m. near the intersection of 19th Street and Western Avenue.
The registered owner of the vehicle was a parolee-at-large, according to police.
At 9:25 a.m., a police cruiser was able to close in and attempt a PIT maneuver, which was not successful.
Shortly after 9:30 a.m., the vehicle stopped and the driver got out and ran. Police ran after the man and arrested him.
Aerial video showed at least one LAPD officer who was injured. The injured officer was removed from the scene in a stretcher.
The suspect was also taken away in a stretcher. His injuries were not immediately known.
