
A suspect was booked on suspicion of murder in connection with the shooting death of a 19-year- old man outside a Hollywood Club, police said.
Jesse Medina of Hollywood was gunned down about 2:30 a.m. Sunday in the 6700 block of Hollywood Boulevard near Las Palmas Avenue, said Officer Cleon Joseph of the Los Angeles Police Department.
Witnesses said the Medina was shot four times in his upper torso while walking with his brother down the street. Paramedics rushed him to Cedars Sinai Medical Center, where he was declared dead.
Jorge Tejeda, also 19, was detained on Sunday but was not booked until Monday at the LAPD's Hollywood Station. Detectives did not release any information on a possible motive.
His bail was set at $2 million.
