Three people were injured in a shooting near downtown Carlsbad Monday night.
A16-year-old male, an 18-year-old female and a 26-year-old male, were standing near Palm Avenue and Madison Street just west of Interstate 5.
Around 8:30 p.m. , a dark blue Dodge sedan full of people drove near the victims. The car's occupants exchanged words with the victims according to Carlsbad police.
One man got out of the vehicle and fired shots at the victims, hitting all of them.
The injuries were described as non-life threatening by police. However, two people had to be airlifted to nearby hospitals.
The suspect's vehicle was last seen heading northbound on Madison Street police said.
