Daniel Castro Bail May be Revoked

Daniel Castro Bail May be Revoked

Former Philadelphia police officer Daniel Castro may be forced to report to prison sooner than expected. A hearing is scheduled Tuesday moring to decide if Castro violated the terms of his bail.

Prosecutors say the former officer violated the terms when he allegedly held up pictures of the people he claims wronged him and then called them names. Officials say the act is a form of intimidation and--as a result--could put his bail at risk.

Castro’s lawyer, Brian McMonagle, insists Castro made no threats.  He just said what he felt about the two men.  And that Castro always felt he had been trapped.

Last week, Castro was sentenced to five years in prison for conspiracy to commit extortion. He was ordered to report to prison on November 15th, but the day may get pushed up.
