"Occupy Wall Street" Protests Coming to NJ

The "Occupy Wall Street'' movement is coming to Wall Street West.

Demonstrators are planning to gather Thursday afternoon in front of the Goldman Sachs offices in Jersey City, in the heart of the city's financial district.

The area earned its nickname because it's home to many financial firms and for its proximity across the Hudson River to lower Manhattan.

Protesters also plan to gather at the Statehouse in Trenton.

The Occupy Wall Street demonstrations began Sept. 17 in New York City with a few dozen people protesting what they say is the negative impact of corporate greed on the nation's economy.

The protests have quickly spread to cities across the country.

Participants range from college students worried about their job prospects to middle-age workers who have been recently laid off.
