It's rough out there. But Tuesday is ushering in a form of relief with the Chicago Urban League launching a new entrepreneurship initiative Tuesday called nextCONNECTION.
“After four years of increasing the capacity and economic impact of thousands of African American-owned businesses, we are excited to launch nextCONNECTION... [which] will lead to more business opportunities for entrepreneurs in the public and private sectors,” CUL President and CEO Andrea L. Zopp said in a press release.
The initiative kicked off Tuesday with a forum on tax credits, business programs offered by federal, state, and local governments and also opportunities to meet one-on-one with various agencies and service providers. From here, though, nextCONNECTION intends to cultivate an expansive alumni network of CUL program graduates and also ongoing programs for business mentoring and financing assistance.
You can read more about nextCONNECTION over at CUL's site.
