An LAPD motorcycle officer was transported to the hospital early Thursday morning to be treated for facial injuries after he collided with a car in Panorama City, said LAPD spokesman Richard French.
The accident occurred at Willis Avenue and Roscoe Boulevard in Panorama City around 6:30 a.m, said Los Angeles Police Department Officer Diana Figueroa. The officer was headed eastbound on Roscoe Boulevard when the car’s driver made an unsafe turn in front of him, French said, citing a preliminary investigation.
The driver of the car was uninjured.
Roscoe Boulevard was closed off between Van Nuys and Sepulveda boulevards following the crash. Drivers were instruced to take alternate routes, including Parthenia Street and Sherman Way.
