Gov. Martin O'Malley and First Lady Katie O'Malley are pledging to stand up to bullies.
The governor and first lady will appear at Arundel High School Thursday for an event to mark National Bullying Prevention Month.
There, they will take the "Stop Bullying: Speak Up" pledge and encourage students, parents and others to do the same.
The O'Malleys will be joined by Joel Kaplan, vice president for U.S. public policy at Facebook, and Cartoon Network president Stuart Snyder.
Maryland is 1 of 7 states to enact an anti-bullying law.
