Fire ripped through a North County business late Wednesday, sending flames through the roof of a tow company.
Oceanside firefighters were called to 475 N. El Camino Real just before midnight. When they arrived, smoke was pouring out from the front and back of the building.
When crews started working the fire, flames jumped through the roof. They added more units around the structure to keep the fire contained and away from nearby businesses.
Firefighters were able to retrieve the owner's valuables, including a business computer and paperwork.
No one was injured. The cause of the fire was still under investigation.
