D.C. Area Gas Prices Decrease By a Nickel

Drivers are finally seeing some real relief at the pump.

According to AAA, the national average price of gasoline is below $3.50 for the first time in seven months.

Drivers are paying a national average of $3.42, down eight cents in just the past week.

Our area is also seeing plummeting prices.

D.C. has an average price of $3.57, down five cents since last week.

Virginia’s prices are the cheapest in our area, with drivers paying $3.27 a gallon, eight cents cheaper than a week ago.

Maryland is also on the lower end at $3.35, down eight cents as well.

West Virginia had the biggest fall in one week, dropping ten cents to $3.47.
