A man accused of stealing books from the New York Public Library and then reselling them has been nabbed with the help of a bookstore owner.
The suspect was arrested Monday after East Village Books owner Donald Davis confronted him, reports The New York Post.
The alleged thief came in to sell some of the books, with their library labels removed. Most were graphic novels that could fetch up to $40.
Davis told the Post that he tussled with the suspect when he tried to stop him at the door. Police arrived a short time later.
The name of the defendant's attorney was not immediately known.
