Zsa Zsa Gabor will undergo surgery after she lost consciousness at her Bel-Air home and was rushed to the hospital Saturday.
Doctors at UCLA Ronald Regan Medical Center said Sunday they plan to reattach a tube in her stomach that had come loose and caused bleeding.
The 94-year-old actress has been given antibiotics for an infection in preparation for surgery, according to her husband, Frederic Prinz von Anhalt.
Von Anhalt, who announced he was running for mayor of Los Angeles Thursday, said Gabor’s fever is down and she has opened her eyes but is not speaking. He calls his wife a "fighter'' and says he's "very optimistic.''
Gabor has been hospitalized repeatedly since falling out of bed and breaking her hip in July 2010. She had a leg amputated in January.
Gabor appeared in a handful of films, but has been most famous for playing the role of herself on talk shows, game shows and at times the news.
