A 47-year-old woman is in critical condition after she was hit by a shopping cart that a group of teens threw off a ledge at a parking garage in East Harlem.
Police and witnesses told the Daily News that the teens were on a fourth-level walkway that connects the parking garage to a Target store near East 116th Street and Pleasant Avenue.
After they pushed the cart over the edge, it bounced off a sign and landed on the woman.
"It hit her in the head. She just collapsed," Orlando Campos, 30, told the News. "She wasn't moving at all."
The woman was with a young boy when she was hit.
Carlos Vargas said he saw the teens pushing the cart just before it went over.
"Their friend was trying to stop it, saying 'Don't do it!'" Vargas told the News.
