Scary Parking Situation for Halloween in Georgetown

Scary Parking Situation for Halloween in Georgetown

Hundreds of ghouls, ghosts and goblins will pack Georgetown’s streets tonight. But if you plan on joining the neighborhood-wide costume party, you may want to leave the car at home.

Parking restrictions and road closures will make driving through Georgetown a frightening ordeal starting around 4:00 this afternoon. K and M Streets and areas along Wisconsin Avenue will have parking restrictions until 6:00 a.m. tomorrow.

Many side streets will also be closed, with an exception of residents and employees at local shops. They include 27th through 34th Streets along with N, O and P Streets. Those streets will close at 6:30 tonight and reopen around 3:00 a.m.

Police say they may close additional streets depending on the crowd size. They recommend using public transportation to get to the monster bash.
