Power is slowly being restored to customers in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware following an unusually early snowstorm that slammed the area over the weekend.
PECO has 20,000 customers without power as of 4 a.m. Monday. Power has been restored to 95-percent of their customers since the height of Saturday’s storm.
More than 100,000 PPL customers are in the dark (and cold). PPL says that residents in Chester, Bucks, Berks, Lehigh, Montgomery and Northampton Counties may not have their power restored until mid-week.
The outages have even caused schools and businesses to close this Halloween.
AC Electric is reporting 3036 customers without power. Scattered outages in South Jersey are also being reported by PSE&G.
Only 17 customers in Delaware are powerless, according to Delmarva Power.
