Chris Harris was released Thursday morning by the Chicago Bears.
Harris, never shy about sharing his feelings on social media, tweeted the news just after 8:30 a.m., calling the NFL business "a strange one" and telling fans and his team he will miss them.
"Thank u for the opp to play football n do what I luv. I'm looking toward my next venture," Harris wrote.
Before the season started, the veteran safety asked for a contract extension to finish out his career in Chicago.
But it didn't happen, and Harris told reporters two weeks ago he saw the move coming when he was demoted from starting line and replaced by Major Wright.
"Chicago I want to thank u for all the luv u have shown me over the yrs. u will b missed," Harris twitter.
Is Tom Nelson up for his spot? Let the rumors begin.
