CSUN Warns of Possible Gunman on Campus

Campus police are scouring the library at California State University, Northridge after a report of a possible gunman on campus.

"At 10:27 this morning University police received information of a white male 5'8 wearing a white tee shirt that says 'human rights violation,' of potential middle eastern descent, short spiky hair, short jeans, indicated he had a gun," according to an emergency notification from the school.

No weapon has actually been seen, although witnesses said the man threatened to take people out, said CSUN spokesperson Shante Morgan.

The Oviatt Library was evacuated as a precaution, said CSUN spokeswoman Carmen Ramos Chandler.

The university warned students not to approach the man. Anyone with information can contact police at 818-677-2111.
