The Long Beach man who was arrested in connection with the 2010 killing of a 17-year-old Moreno Valley girl will be arraigned Monday, according to court records.
Moreno Valley police arrested 35-year-old Jesse Perez Torres in Long Beach last Thursday.
The body of Norma Lopez was found in a partially-vacant field in Moreno Valley in July of last year.
Torres is facing charges of suspicion of murder and kidnapping to commit rape or robbery, said authorities.
He was booked at the booked at the Robert Presley Detention Center in Riverside with bail set at $1 million.
Lopez was abducted while walking to a friend's house after attending classes at Valley View High School. Her body was found five days later about two miles away from where she was kidnapped.
