Patron Returns to Steakhouse, Opens Fire

A man drinking at an East County restaurant and bar left the business only to return and open fire soon after.

One man was injured during the shooting at the Junction Steakhouse and Sports Bar on Jamacha Road near Washington Avenue around 12:30 a.m. Monday.

The suspect was having drinks at the bar before he left according to El Cajon police.

When the suspect returned, he started shooting and struck one man in the foot.

The suspect was taken into custody.

Another man was detained for questioning temporarily by police but was not arrested.

The restaurant, formerly known as the Jamacha Bar & Grille, was remodeled and reopened in 2010.
