A special new memorial is being dedicated Monday afternoon at Arlington National Cemetery.
It will honor the 14 Jewish chaplains who died during active military service.
For years, fallen rabbis were not honored at the cemetery, but the project was funded privately and backed by a joint Congressional resolution.
The memorial will sit next to already existing memorials for Protestant and Catholic chaplains.
The new memorial has even more significance this year, as it marks the 150th anniversary of service by rabbis in the U.S. Armed Forces.
