Power Problems Slow Trains In, Out of NYC

Power Problems Slow Trains In, Out of NYC

Trains are facing delays in and out of New York City because of power problems in a Hudson River rail tunnel Friday.

Amtrak spokesman Cliff Cole says the problem involves overhead wires in the south tube so trains are forced to use the single track in the north tube.

Amtrak trains are facing delays of up to 30 minutes.

New Jersey Transit says Northeast Corridor and North Jersey Coast Line trains are running up to an hour behind schedule.

Midtown Direct trains are operating to and from Hoboken.

PATH is honoring NJ Transit rail tickets at Newark, Hoboken and 33rd Street stations.
