San Diego’s Metropolitan Transit System is closing a few downtown stations this Halloween weekend for construction.
From Oct. 28 to 30, all trolley stations between Old Town and City College will be closed, in addition to the Seaport Village station. Substitute shuttle bus service will be available, except between the Convention Center and America Plaza Stations.
The reason for the closure is crews are work to improve passenger and freight rail services by installing a second main line track and new rail bridges in the corridor.
With lots of events going on for Halloween, MTS is urging people to check if their area will be affected before traveling.
Passengers can check the MTS Trolley Renewal website for construction information and lists of closures.
