Police say one man was killed and two other people were wounded when a gunman on a bicycle opened fire on a crowded South Los Angeles park Monday.
Police said a suspect has been detained in the shooting that occurred around 4:40 p.m. at the Algin Sutton Recreation Center on the 8500 block of Hoover Street in South Los Angeles.
In addition to the shooting death of the man, another man and a woman were wounded.
Southeast Detectives called to the scene reported the shootings may be related to gang activity in the area.
Police did not indicate a motive in the shooting.
The identities of the victims were not immediately available.
